| Army rescue civilians from avalanche prone areas | | 
Kulgam, January 20, (Scoop News)- Owing to continuous snow pounding since last week, area around Devsar based Army is imbrued in snow. Keeping in view continuous avalanche warning from SASE and request from civil administration, on Tuesday Devsar based Army Camp launched a rescue operation for the locals of Waltingu Nar and nearby areas.
Locals trained for avalanche rescue alongwith Avalanche Rescue teams of Army helped in the rescue operation. In this rescue around 200 indls including men, women and children were rescued from highly avalanche prone as and shifted to safe a accommodations provided by civil administration.
