| Krishan Singh, a former civil servant joins Gandhi Global Family | |
Jammu, January 17, (Scoop News)- Krishan Singh, a civil servant of J&K State, who recently retired as Director Finance J&K Goverment, today joined Gandhi Global Family, a United Nations DPI affiliated Peace NGO, at GGF Head Quarter in Jammu in presence of Padamshri S P Varma Vice President Gandhi Global Family. During his interaction with GGF office bearers, he recalled how he has followed gandhian principles right from his school days to his entire services at different government departments and is a great admirer and follower of Mahatma Gandhi.
He stressed upon the need of promoting Gandhian values and principles among the of people of the State. He further emphasised that path shown by the Father of the Nation is the only way out for global peace. He also stated that peace in Indian society can only be achieved by making rural India fully self-reliant and developed. For this civil society organisations (CSOs) like GGF need to play an instrumental role. By promoting local industries and organic agriculture the rural society can be brought at par with the progressive and developing sections of the Indian economy. He even stressed upon connecting United Nations with the local communities of our State.
Padamshri S P Varma on this occasion, recalled the tireless and honest service rendered by Mr. Krishan Singh for the State under various capacities. He affirmed that his experience and credentials will turn out to be a strong foundation of strength to the GGF peace movement which has been universally escalated.
