| Martyrdom Day of Hazrat Umar (RA): Minister Farooq Andrabi reviews arrangements | | Srinagar, September 29, (Scoop News)-Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today reviewed the arrangements for observing the Martyrdom Day of Ameer-ul-Moomineen Hazrat Umar-e-Farooq (RA), the second Caliph, being observed on September 30, 2016.
The officials of the J&K Waqaf board gave a detailed briefing to the Minister about the arrangements made in and around the Ziyarats of Hazratbal, Jenab Sahib Soura, Asar Sharief Kailashpora, Kabamarg Anantnag, Aham Sharief Bandipora and Makhama, where special prayers are being held and Holy relics displayed.
The Minister directed the departments concerned to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply besides launching proper sanitation drive around the shrines to facilitate the devotees. He also directed SRTC to provide hassle free transport services to the people.
