| RRB at Talwara holds 'Rappelling and Slithering' events for 23 youth | | belonging to several villages of Reasi district. | Jammu, September 29, (Scoop News)-The Army has played a major role in shaping the careers of a large number of youth in Jammu and Kashmir through conduct of various education, employment generation and entrepreneurship development programmes.
Simultaneously, the Army has also ensured the physical well-being and instilling the spirit of confidence in the youth by conducting rural sports and adventure sports events at regular intervals.
Taking the mantle of `Adventure Sports’ ahead, the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Talwara is conducting `Rappelling and Slithering’ events for 23 youth from various villages of Reasi district.
The week long camp will not only introduce the youth to the challenging world of adventure sports but also train them in the art of rappelling and slithering. Such events not only instill a sense of confidence but also promote communal harmony and team spirit among the participants.
Mr Sadiq Ahmed from Village Dharmari said that the camp is full of fun and frolic apart from helping in overcoming the challenges of Adventure Sports.
The camp, he said, is a unique event which has taught him the strength of human mind and the spirit of self-confidence.
