Army holds medical, dental and veterinary camp at village Ayee in Nubra
treats 187 civilians and 58 cattle
Nubra, August 29, (Scoop News)-A medical, dental and veterinary camp was conducted by Army under the aegis of Siachen Brigade at village Ayee in Nubra.


The aim of the camp was to extend medical assistance by doctors from Army and screening local villagers with severe/chronic disease requiring advanced/special medical care.



In addition to medical treatment the villagers were also educated on health related issues, hygienic living habits and issues relating to the health of their cattle.The veterinary care for the cattle was provided by vet doctors from military veterinary hospital.



A large number of elderly men, women and children availed the medical treatment provided free of cost as part of ‘Operation Sadbhavana’. An adhoc dispensary was also set up for the camp. A total of 187 civilian and 58 cattle were treated during the medical, dental and veterinary camp.



The Medical, Dental and Veterinary was instrumental in carving out a niche for better health efforts to be provided to the local populace of far flung/ remote villages like Ayee of Nubra region.
