| DUJ condemns attack on scroll.in contributor | |
New Delhi , February 09 (Scoop News)- The DUJ condemned the attack on the residence of Scroll.in contributor Malini Subramaniam in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgargh in the early hours of Sunday.
From reports it is clear that the local police failed to act and nab the culprits. It is shocking that even a FIR on Ms. Subramaniam’s complaint has not been lodged till now. Over and above this, the police instead of acting against the culprits have questioned the victim repeatedly.
The DUJ calls upon the Chhattisgharh Chief Minister, Shri Raman Singh to institute an immediate enquiry and also take urgent steps for her protection and that of the journalist community in the state.
