BJP leader welcomes Modi-Sharif -meeting | hopes Pakistan will be forced to combat terrorism | New Delhi ,November 30 (Scoop News)- Ishfaq ur-Rehman Poswal BJP leader and national executive member ST Morcha on Mnday welcomed a brief meeting between prime minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharief in Paris. Poswal hoped that meeting between two leaders will force Pakistan leadership into combating terrorism in India as Modi has built immense pressure on Pakistan to do away with terrorism. “Narendra Modi is keen to do away with terrorism and I hope the meeting between two leaders in Paris today will force Pakistan to deal with terrorism,” said Poswal. “The world community is fully aware of the fact that Pakistan is sponsoring terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and many other parts of the world. From time to time Narendra Modi has built pressure on Pakistan to act against terrorist leaders and demolish the terror infrastructure,” he added. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met and shook hands with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif in Paris on the sidelines of a UN summit on climate change that began today. The two leaders last came face to face at the United Nations General Assembly session in September in New York where they had waved at each other, but there were no formal talks. According to a statement, BJP leader expressed serious concerns over recent spate in militant attacks including recent in Tanghdar And Manigah sectors of Kupwara district. “I am confident the meeting between two leaders will also help counter such militant attacks and infiltration bids by the Pakistan backed terrorists. People of Jammu and Kashmir have been yearning for peace over the years and they want an end to Pakistan sponsored terrorism,” said Poswal. ... |
