| NKB Sankoo wins Shaheed Zulfiqar Archery Tournament | | 
Srinagar,November 29 (Scoop News)-The final match of Shaheed Zulfiqar Archery Tournament was played between NKB Sankoo and TG 15, NKB Sankoo scored 24 points and TG 15 scored 18 points. NKB Sankoo won the match by 06 points. Mohammad Amin of TG 15 was adjudged the man of the match whereas Ali Naqi of TG 15 was adjudged the man of the series.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Kargil Haji Hanifa Jan, who was the chief guest on the occasion lauded the role of District Police Kargil under the leadership of SP Kargil Shri Rahul Malik for its various endeavors for involving the youth in positive activities. He also assured an Archery Stadium for the people of Kargil if a suitable land is found.
While addressing the pubic SP Kargil Shri Rahul Malik remembered Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali, who was a constable in J&K Police laid down his life in July 2009 in Maisuma, Srinagar in a grenade attack whose sacrifice will never be forgotten by Kargil District and for this reason Archery Tournament has been named after him keeping in mind that Archery is the traditional game of Kargil.
Besides, the Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil, Executive Councilors Sh. Aga Abbas Razvi, Shri Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Shri Kacho Hassan Khan and other officers of Civil Administration, DySP Headquarters Shri Abdul Khaliq, DySP DAR Shri Aslam Mir, prominent citizens and Smt Maryam Fatima mother of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali also participated in the event.
Later on cash prizes, certificates and mementoes were distributed among the winning and runner up teams. Mother of Shaheed Zulfiqar was also honored by presentation of Shawl.
