| Islam preaches universal brotherhood: Khatana | |  Jammu, September 22 (Scoop News)- Stating that every religion, including Islam, preaches peace, communal harmony and universal brotherhood, BJP State Secertary Er. Gulam Ali Khatana allaged that NC and separatists are exploiting the innocent Muslims of the State.
Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, who is also State Incharge of BJP Muslim & Tribal Morcha, while addressing a press conference along with Sardar Hassan Phambra and Bashir Ahmed, said that after the directions of High Court to implement the Section 298 of Ranbir Panel Code (RPC), the leaders of National Conference and Hurriyat are making attempts to provoke the Musilms of the state on false grounds.
To elaborate his assertion, Ghulam Ali Khatana said that “In Islamic Sharia, slaughtering of bovine animal is not mandatory (farz or wazib), although it is permissible in the sense of choices (maba) or one can slaughter in extreme or in rare occasions like famine or non-availability of alternate food”. He further said that nobody on earth can misinterprate Quran and Hadees for personal, political or other motives.
Khatana said that the most unfortunate thing is that those who are misleading the people by misinterprating the facts of Islamic Sharia, claim to be Muslims but they are in reality working against Islam and Humanity.
“Today leaders of NC and Hurriyat, who are making hue and cry in frustration, must explain to the people as to why none of them uttered a single word against the legal provision which was introduced during the rule of Maharaja”, Khatana said and reminded both that NC had been representing itself in the state Assembly and similary much vocal leader of Hurriyat Syed Ali Shah Geelani was also MLA but always observed complete silence on Cow slaughter and sale of beef.
The BJP leader also appealed the Muslim brethern not to get misled by these so called rejected NC politicians and handful of Hurriyat leaders, who have lost their relevance and are now indulging in emotional provocations. He said that a true Muslim follows Islam in true spirit and hence respects the law of the land as well as the religious sentiments of other communities. He expressed hope that good sense will prevail on NC and Hurriyat and they would not communalise the provision of the constitution.
