Reasi administration takes pledge to resist violence in all forms
Reasi, May 21 (Scoop News)-Taking anti-terrorism pledge by the officials of district administration and holding of seminars-cum-discussions marked the observance of anti-terrorism day here today.
The anti-terrorism day is observed on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
Deputy Commissioner, Reasi-Sushama Chauhan administered the pledge to the staff of administrative block at Mini Secretariat, Reasi. The day is observed to create awareness among all masses about the danger of terrorism and violence and its effect on the society and the country as a whole, said Chauhan while addressing the gathering.
She added that as a responsible citizen everyone should unite to curb all such activities that threaten the existence of people and added that all kinds of terrorist activities should be resisted by all means.
The staff at all the Government officers of district as well as block took a pledge to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence and uphold and promote peace and social harmony.
At Block-2 of Mini Secretariat, the pledge was administered by ACD Reasi-Suram Chand Sharma. DTO Mahesh Sharma, CMO-Parminder Singh, DPO-Susheel Khajuria, DYSSO-Dr Swaran Singh Chib, Manager J&K Bank, Assistant Legal Metrology Inspector-Rajesh Heera, Xen R&B and staff of all the departments of block were present on the occasion.
