Minerva School of Learning celebrates Annual Day with zeal
Knowledge and education removes all barriers :Dr Agnishekhar
Jammu, January 31, (Scoop News)-Minerva School of Learning celebrated Annual Day with zeal and fanfare at Police Auditorium Gandhi Nagar,Jammu

On the occasion, Ab.Rehman Veeri Ex.Minister & Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) was the chief guest while Convener, Panun Kashmir (PK) Dr Agnishekhar, was the guest of honour.


On the occasion Dr Agnishekhar while addressing a function said that the role of Kashmiri Pandits can not be forgotten in enriching the Indian civilization. He recalled the services of Kashmiri Buddhist monks in spreading Buddhism to Central Asian countries like China and Japan.


He said Kashmir was a seat of learning from times immemorial and abode of Mata Sharda, the goddess of learning and knowledge.

Dr Agnishekhar said Kashmir has produced great scholars and Shivacharyas like Acharya Utpal Dev, Abhinav Gupt, and Kshmendara etc. Acharya Abhinav Gupt has been declared the man of the millennium, he added.

He said that knowledge and education removes all barriers and creates ways and opportunities for progress and prosperity. Education dispels ignorance and illuminates the life of a human being.

Ab.Rehman Veeri distributed prizes among the students of the School who presented a colorful cultural programme on the occasion.

Earlier, the Chairman of Minerva School, Sanjay Tickoo presented a resume of the academic and co-curricular activities initiated by the school. He said that the school provides cost effective education, with a convenient location.


Mrs Anjini Bhat read the annual report while Sushma Bakaya proposed vote of thanks.


The students of different classes presented a colorful cultural programme which was highly appreciated by the huge gathering.

On the occasion, management, staff, students, their parents and prominent citizens were also present.

The function was also attended by Rajesh Dhar and Shashi Bushan Directors of the Coventry Scholars.
