| CPI(M) observes 21st death anniversary of Abdul Kabir,the founder of JK Kisan Tehrik | | 
Kulgam December 31, (Scoop News)- CPI(M) District Committee Kulgam observed 21st death anniversary of the founder president of JK Kisan Tehrik, Abdul Kabir Wani at Kulgam today. Hundreds of people including kisans, youths, intellectuals, students and other sections of society participated in the function. Presided over by a senior kisan Tehrik leader Ghulam Hassan Rather, the function was addressed by various leaders. Recalling the contribution of Abdul Kabair Wani in organizing the peasantry movement against the oppression, the speakers reminded that the late leader led a big movement popularly known as “Sar Dangay Surplus Nahin Dangay” .
While recalling the contribution of late leader, Ghulam Mohi-udidin Lone said that during his tenure as MLA various developmental projects like establishing of Govt.Hr.Secondary School Kulgam and vast road connectivity were taken up in hand. Senior Kissan leader and CPI(M) State Committee member, Abdul Hamid Wani recalled the contribution of the late leader in organizing various public protests against the then governments and reminded that he never compromised on the issues facing the people. Among others Mohd. Yousuf Lone, Mohd.Afzal Parrey, Mohd.Amin Dar, Zahoor Ahmad Rather, Abdul Majeed Pariwan addressed the function.
