| Sakina asks ICDS Staff to volunteer in rehab operations | | Srinagar, September 19, (Scoop News)- Minister for Social Welfare, Ms Sakina Itoo today asked the ICDS field functionaries to involve themselves in providing relief to the flood victims and reach out to the people in this hour of distress.
Chairing a meeting of departmental officers, Ms Itoo called for community mobilization with the involvement of ICDS staff including Anganwadi workers and helpers to facilitate people in their proper rehabilitation to the safe place including provide relief.
Ms Itoo directed for extending services on voluntarily basis in providing medical and health tips to the flood affected people in consultation with health department functionaries.
The Minister directed all the officers of the department to join the challenges wholeheartedly and provide relief to the flood affected families. She said since women children and old people have been badly affected by the natural calamity, the department owes it to them that they are helped in this hour distress.
