| J&K public should not be lured by false commitments: BJP | |
Jammu, September 02, (Scoop News)- Strange are the ways of ruling parties in J&K who have been claiming to remain committed to the equitable development of all the three regions in the state for the last several years, ridiculed BJP State Spokesperson Dr. Nirmal Kamal today. She said that these parties when in power, their policies which were meant for public remained in doldrums and they kept harping about equitable development in the state without implementing these policies. Close to the election period, these political outfits rhetorically, publicized their non-achievements as achievements and much hyped public works remain either incomplete or remain visible on the foundation stones only. Actually it is public who suffer ultimately, feel cheated and is deprived of what was committed to them.
Dr. Nirmal Kamal further reiterated that NC-Congress and PDP are engaged in impressing people of their hollow and shallow commitments. More than six decades have gone by, public is still waiting for justice through equitable development. Barring some VIP roads and selected residential areas, roads are still in dilapidated condition (Channi-Himmat area is the best example where for the last more than six years people are awaiting proper road), water supply, both in winters and summers remains deficient, electricity supply is a major cause of protests by the public, backdoor appointment to selected few is still the order of the day, unemployed youth, both technical and non-technical protest day in and day out, adhoc employees are consistently asking for regularization of their wages and salaries, despite much claim of police-public cordial relations, police continue to lathi charge the protestors, now even Anganwadi workers are on the roads to protest for their demands. There are unending woes of public but the ruling government’s claims of commitment to prosperity and equitable development of the state do not find any evidence on the ground level.
Dr. Nirmal Kamal asserted that public has been cheated by hoax claims of the ruling leaders. Now is the time for public of all the regions to give befitting reply to these parties by bringing change of the government under the stewardship of Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of the country.
