GGF presents Mahatma Gandhi Seva Medal to Sant Nirankari Mission
Srinagar, November 26(Scoop News)- The success of Sant Nirankari Mission and its commitment towards community services, Gandhi Global Family recognised its distinguished contribution for the upliftment of underprivileged people by awarded Mahatma Gandhi Seva Medal by Vice President of Gandhi Global Family Padmashri S P Varma. Baba Hardev Singh ji Maharaj has followed in the footsteps of former Indian President K R Narayanan and His Holiness the Dalai Lama as a recipient of the Mahatma Gandhi Seva Medal, for conceiving the ideas of community development, Universal Tolerance, Global-Oneness & Universal brotherhood.

Baba Hardev Singh ji Maharaj accepted the prestigious medal on behalf of the thousands of volunteers (das) of Sant Nirankari Mission who volunteer their time for the community development in & outside India.


Sant Nirankari Mission was honoured during a day of celebrations held in Delhi, India, by the Gandhi Global Family, a non-political organization dedicated to internationalize,coordinate and propagate the Gandhian Philosophy throughout the world. Baba Hardev Singh ji Maharaj said “I have been overwhelmed by the gracious way in which this award have been presented.


The kindness of the Gandhi Global Family, the generosity of their members, and their interest in the concept of our mission is humbling in every sense of the word.” Baba Ji added that the Award was an acknowledgement of the Mission’s contribution to promote human values and its service for the welfare of humanity. He said that every devotee of the Mission is the recipient of the Award for which he thanked the Gandhi Global Family.Padmashri Varma appreciated the efforts of volunteers of Nirankari Mission who always prove their selfless service by participating in community activities across the world. Later on the medal was presented in front of impressive gathering of two million devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission in New Delhi during the Nirankari’s annual three day Samagam (conclusion session). Many dignitaries also gathered together to celebrate the award ceremony but prominent among them were Shri Vijay Sharma, General Secretary GGF New Delhi, Shri Dalip Swan General Secretary GGF Orissa, and Young Gandhians Akhilesh Sopolia & Ankush Kumar.
