| Three persons drowned in Jehlum in Kashmir | | 2 persons electrocuted | Srinagar, May 18 (Scoop News) –A non-local labourer and two children were drowned in Jehlum at two different places on Friday evening.
Two boys Sameer Ahmad sheikh son of Mohammad Ismail and Dawood Ahmad sheikh son of Mohammad Subhan residents of Sheer colony, Sopore drowned in river Jehlum, near Sheer colony, Sopore while bathing on Friday evening. Both the boys were six year of age. Sopore police and locals are on job to fish out the bodies.
Meanwhile, 22 years Surinder Lal son of Arvinder resident of Mukarian Husharpur, Punjab working with RMKY company as labour drowned in river Jehlum at Sangam, in the jurisdiction of Police station Bijbehara, Anantnag. Bijbehara Police on Job to fish out the body of drowned person
2 persons electrocuted
Two persons including five years boy were electrocuted in two separate incidents in the valley.
A 24 years old Adil Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Rehman resident of Jungle-Nard Gulzarpora, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Awantipora received an electric shock and was critically injured when he was watering under construction Masjid Sharief and the water came into direct contact with high tension overhead power supply cables at Jungle-Nard Gulzarpora. He succumbed on way to the district Hospital, Pulwama. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. Police Awantipora has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile, five years old Saqib Ahmad Najar son of Parvaiz Ahmad resident of Pomposh colony Noorbagh, Srinagar received an electric shock at his home and was seriously injured. He was shifted to SMHS hospital where he breathe his last. The body of deceased boy was handed over to his family for last rites.
