Eid embeds message of help to poor: Omar
Srinagar/Jammu, August 18 (Scoop News) - JK Governor,N. N. Vohra,CM, Omar AbdullahDy CM, Tara Chand,Ministers and the leaders of PDP,CPIM,NPP and others greet people on Eid-ul-Fitr.

N. N. Vohra, Governor, has extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In a message of felicitations, the Governor expressed the hope that this auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of sustained peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and would further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity, which are the hallmarks of the State’s glorious pluralistic traditions.

The Governor prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.


Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has felicitated people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr wishing them well being and prosperity.

In his Eid message issued here today, the Chief Minister has reminded the people of the essence of Eid adding that this Day demands us remember the poor and needy, and share the happiness with them.

Omar Abdullah said that the spirit behind the observance of Eid-ul-Fitr is to express our thanks to Almighty Allah for giving us the courage to observe fast in the month of Ramdhan and rededicate ourselves to the truthfulness, sincerity, self control, patience and human dignity showing complete obedience to Allah.

“Eid also embeds the message of taking care of the needy and making them part of the happiness by extending economic support to them”, he said and expressed the hope that the Eid would bring peace, prosperity and well-being to the State and the people all over the world.

Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand today greeted the people of the State on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In a felicitation message, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Eid-ul-Fitr reminds us of our responsibility to help poor and needy and inculcates the spirit of sharing happiness and joy with one and all. He said every religion teaches peace, brotherhood, amity and love, besides tolerance and patience. He hoped that the day will bring peace, prosperity and well being for the people of the State.





The Cabinet Ministers have extended greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In their separate felicitation messages, they hoped that the occasion would be harbinger of peace, prosperity and happiness. They hoped that the festival will further strengthen the bonds of amity, brotherhood and communal harmony which are the vital characteristics of pluralistic ethos of the state.

The Ministers include Minister for Finance Abdul Rahim Rather, Minister for Rural Development Department Ali Mohammad Sagar, Minister for Forests Mian Altaf Ahmad, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Taj Mohi-ud-Din, Minister for Enterprises Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Minister for Industries and Commerce Surjit Singh Slathia, Minister for Higher Education Abdul Gani Malik, Minister for Medical Education R S Chib, Minister for Tourism Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for Health and Floriculture Sham Lal Sharma, Minister for CA&PD and Transport Qamar Ali Akhoon, Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla, Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir, Minister for Social Welfare Sakina Ittoo and Minister for Animal and Sheep Husbandry Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi.

Minister of State for Cooperatives Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, Minister of State for Home Nasir Aslam Wani, Minister of State for Forests Shabir Ahmad Khan, Minister of State for R&B Javid Ahmad Dar and Minister of State for Haj & Aquaf Aijaz Ahmad Khan have also greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The Advisors to chief Minister Mubarak Gul and Devender Singh Rana also felicitated the people on the occasion of Eid.





Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mohammad Akbar Lone has felicitated the people of the State on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In his felicitation message, Lone said that the festival gives message of love, harmony and taking care of poor and peace.

The Speaker prayed for prosperity and progress of the State and hoped that the holy Eid will prove harbinger of peace, harmony and development of Jammu and Kashmir.



Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council Amit Malhotra has greeted the people of the State on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In his separate massage, Malhotra has hoped that the holy Eid will prove harbinger of peace, harmony and development of Jammu and Kashmir. He prayed for prosperity and progress in the state.







General Secretary, CPI (M) and MLA Kulgam M. Y. Tarigami has greeted people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In his felicitating message, Tarigami has expressed hope that the holy Eid will prove harbinger of peace, harmony and development of Jammu and Kashmir. He prayed for prosperity and tranquility in the State.



Chairman PDF and MLA, Khan Sahib Hakim Mohammad Yasin has greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and hoped that the Eid will prove harbinger of peace and prosperity for the State.





Peoples Democratic party Patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and President Mehbooba Mufti greeted people of Jammu & Kashmir on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Wishing all 'Eid Mubarak', Mufti said the festival "brings joy and happiness on the conclusion of the month of Holy Ramadan, a period of fasting, prayer and charity."
"May this festival strengthen mutual goodwill and inspire each one of us to follow the path of love, friendship, harmony and peace"

PresidentPDP Mehbooba Mufti said, "The celebrations marking the end of the Ramadan fasting foster peace and harmony and reflect the true spirit of our composite culture."
"May the festival spread peace, tolerance and harmony among all," she said.
She said, "The fasting observed during Ramadan reaffirms the spirit of charity and generosity and highlights the feelings of empathy."

Among other leaders who extended their greetings to the people of the state include Senior Vice President Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, Senior Party leader Muzaffar Hussain Beig, General Secretary Mohammed Dilawar Mir, Tariq Hameed Karra, Mohammed Sartaj Madni, Ab Rehman Veeri, Party Spokesperson Naeem Akhter, Mohd Khalil Bandh, Mohd Ashraf Mir MLC, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain and Mohd rafi Mir .



Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, NPP and Member, NIC Eid Greetings to the Muslim fraternity all over the world hoping that the message of peace, love and harmony which is the spirit of Eid shall reach every corner of the world. NPP Chief wished that the Eid spirit shall bring freedom, equality and liberty to the people shall living in Sheikhdoms and Kingdoms devoid of freedoms and dignity which Allah has bestowed on every human being on earth.
The NPP Chief, a great friend of the Arabs and associate of President Saddam Hussein and Yasir Arafat, expressed hope that the people of Palestine shall be restored statehood of Palestine, Iraq, Saudia, Libya and other Arab countries shall be liberated from the Anglo-American forces so that the command of Islam preached through Holy Quran shall also be shared by all Muslims of the world
