| Consultant financial commission reviews data compilation for Anantnag, Kulgam | | ANANTNAG,May 18 (Scoop News) – To review the performance achieved with regard to preparation and compilation of basic data of district Anantnag, blocks and Panchayats, the Financial Commission’s Consultant for Kashmir division, G.A. Qureshi convened a meeting of officers of district administration, planning, statistics and Block Development of the district here today.
Qureshi while discussing the achievement made under district Plans said that Anantnag and Kulgam districts are lacking behind in the Agricultural and allied sectors as per the census and figures at 6thposition as compared to other districts of the J&K, when there is a great potential for Agriculture, Horticulture and Dairy sectors in these districts. He said that the State Government has engaged consultants for identifying the infrastructural gapes.
Qureshi stressed for taking holistic view in every sector and urged the officers to work with close coordination for implementing the State and Central sponsored schemes in thrust areas and to ensure judicious use of funds.
