1-day Working Committee Meeting of BJP held at R.S. Pura
Jammu, May 18 (Scoop News) – 1-day Working Committee Meeting of R.S. Pura district was held at R.S.Pura, which was organised by Distt. President Santosh Sharma. During day long meet, different sessions were reserved for diferent sunbjects. The meeting started with traditional lightening of lamp by BJP State Secretary & Morcha Seh-Prabhari Purnima Sharma and Morcha State President Sakina Bano alongwith Distt. President.
Purnima Sharma while addressing one of the session said that today even after 65 years of independence the male dominated society do not treate women equal. Although the women have displayed and proved their worth an intellegence in all the fields of life and even crossed the men in many cases but still are treated as humble and weak. She said that the time has come when the women should not be discriminated or treated as inferior and for this the role of women herself becomes all the more important.
Sakina Bano in his address said that the ill mindset of the Indian society still treats the birth of female child as a curse. It is the main reason which has been promoting the female feoticide. The women are also subjected to domestic atrocities. They are being mentally and physically tortured . She said that the BJP has granted 33 per cent reservation to the women in its organizational setup and is committed to extend unconditional support to any move which is aimed at granting political reservation to women.
After day long deliberations, a political resolution demanding reservation to women in parliament and state assemblies was unanimously adopted saying that such a provision can ensure the participation of women in decision making bodies.
Raj Rani Jamwal, Usha Sharma, Nirmal Kumari, Aruna Gupta, Vijay Raina were prominent among those who also delibrated on certain subjects related to women.
