| Sidhra included in Jammu Municipal limits: Nasir | |
Jammu,March 27 (Scoop News) -Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Nasir Aslam Wani today informed the Legislative Council that the Government has already constituted two inquiry committees one each for Jammu/Kashmir divisions to look into the complaints regarding illegal appointments in the urban local bodies.
The Minister was replying to a question by Murtaza Ahmed Khan. He said that the committees were asked to inquire into the allegations from 2003 to 2010. He said the department has received the reports and are under the process of examination of the Government.
Nasir said the Sidhra village has been included in the Municipal Corporation in Jammu and Rs. 66.19 lakh have been spent on civil works and other activities during last three years.
Regarding declaring Mendhar as Notified Area Committee, the Minister said that town did not fulfill the criteria as laid down by Government order for constitution of Municipal Committee.
