| Congress Party celebrated Republic Day | | in all its District and Block Headquarters |
Jammu, January 27 (Scoop News) – Congress party celebrated Republic Day in all its District and Block Headquarters on Thuresday. The main function was held at PCC HQ Jammu where Om Chopra, Ex-MLA and President District Congress Committee Jammu(Urban) hoisted national flag in the presence of functionaries of PCC, DCC, Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, Sedva Dal, INTUC, NSUI and the people from all sections of society.

Langeh, Inder Sehgal, Rajiv Gupta, Mian Nazir, Madan Lal Malagar, Masnsa Ram,S. Jaswant Singh V.K. Sethi, Gurdarshan Singh, Mohd, Saleem Khan, Ch. Sukh Dev, S.S. Shangari, Smt. Lalita Sharma, Padamni Langeh, Raj Bakshi, Sita Devi, Kamlesh Basih, Kiran Bala, Ms Tamana, were among the prominent who attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Chopra delivered an emotional speech which thrilled the people with desire to serve the nation. He recalled the sacrifices of its great leaders like Mahatma Gamndhi, Pt. Jawahar lal Nehru . Neta ji Subash Chander Bose, Shaheed Azam Bhagat Singh, Sardar Patel, Mulana Abul Kalam Azad, Lal Bahadur Shastri, and many other freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives to liberate India from foreign rulers and guide modern India towards its substantive progress. He also recalled the leaders like Smt. Indira Gandhi, Shri Rajiv Gandhi who sacrificed their lives for the unity and integrity of the country. He said that Congress party has always played a vital role to maintain unity and integrity of the nation and it is the need of the hour that we should unitedly fight and thwart the evil designs of the divisive and antinational forces who are raising their ugly head time and again to weaken the nation.
