Bhim greets Atal Bihari on his 84th birthday

Jammu, December 24 (Scoop News) –Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party and Member, National Integration Council today expressed hope for the return of good health to the former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birthday.
In his unusual compliments to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Panthers Party Chief recollected his interaction with the former Prime Minister of India during the past 30 years which the Panthers Party Chief had with Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The Panthers Party Chief recollected that Atal Bihari Vajpayee once visited Kashmir in 1973 when group of boys tried to create this order in his public meeting in Iqbal Park. The Panthers Party Chief at that time was heading State Youth Congress. He came to the rescue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee with his team and ensured that Vajpayee shall address the Kashmiries without any problem.
It was in November, 1979 when Shri Vajpayee, the then Union Minister of External Affairs was injured by a rowdy crowd at India Gate during a rally of thousands of university students led by Ms. Jay Mala, the then President of the Students Congress was demanding action against the culprits. Atal Bihari Vajpayee with usual courage and determination wanted to address the angry students. Some miscreants stone him in the head and he started bleeding. He was flanked by Bhim Singh (General Secretary, Indian Youth Congress) and Ms. Jay Mala for his protection. Atal Bihari Vajpayee walked to the Parliament. Bhim Singh and Ms. Jay Mala with some other student leaders were taken to Parliament Street Police Station. Atal ji stood in Parliament and told that Bhim Singh and Mala had protected him from the attack of hooligans. Atal ji visited police station and escorted both Bhim Singh and Jay Mala to freedom. It was in 1991 when Atal ji led Indian Delegation to United Nations Human Rights Conference in Vienna, Austria. It was Atal ji who openly challenged Pakistan and ISI for their anti-human and anti-India activities. Prof. Bhim Singh said that it was his unique dispatch for the UNI on the most daring and colourful Hindi speech of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
In 2002, Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the third Prime Minister to address a mammoth rally in the city of Srinagar, Kashmir only half a kilometer from the Lal Chowk as Prime Minister of India. Mrs. Indira Gandhi was second Prime Minister to address a public rally at Iqbal Park after Jawahar Lal Nehru who addressed a public rally at Lal Chowk in 1947 after State’s Accession with the Union of India.
Prof. Bhim Singh recollected the most daring acts of Atal Bihari Vajpayee when he invited the POK leader and former Prime Minister, Sardar Mohd. Abdul Qayyum Khan at his residence in Delhi thus welcoming the Heart to Heart Talks between the leadership of the two sides of J&K.
Prof. Bhim Singh expressed hope that the health of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee shall get him back to the rider’s seat so that he may fulfill his unfinished agenda to extend the legislative powers of the Parliament to legislate in respect of Central Laws vis-à-vis J&K, which Atal ji had told Prof. Bhim Singh before he left 7, Race Course in 2004. "He is one of the greatest leaders in Asia who has wisdom, courage, commitment and determination to lead India towards peace, progress and glory."
