| CEC LAHDC Kargil Meets Al-Muntazir Association Delegation | | Assures Action on Pashkum Road and Teacher Shortage |
Kargil, September 22 (Scoop News)-The Hon'ble Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today met with a delegation of the Al-Muntazir Educational and Developmental Organisation, Pashkum, Kargil, led by its Vice President.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the CEC of two pressing issues concerning the Pashkum area.
The first pertained to the deteriorated condition of the link road from Hussaini Bridge to Chulachay, Pashkum. The delegation informed the CEC that the lack of proper macadamization and inadequate road width has caused considerable inconvenience to residents, commuters, and school-going children, besides posing safety concerns, particularly during adverse weather conditions. They requested immediate macadamization and widening of the road.
The second issue raised was the shortage of a Mathematics teacher at Govt. PM Shri Higher Secondary School, Pashkum, which the delegation said was adversely affecting the academic progress of students, particularly those in Class 10th. The delegation requested urgent deputation of a Mathematics teacher to the school.
The CEC assured the delegation of prompt necessary action on both matters and directed the concerned departments — the R&B Division, Kargil, and the Education Department — to look into the issues on priority.
The delegation thanked the CEC for the patient hearing and expressed hope for early resolution of the issues in the interest of the residents and students of Pashkum.
