| LPCC Celebrates World Ozone Day-2026 at Government Middle School, Gompa, Leh | | Leh,September 17 (Scoop News)- The Ladakh Pollution Control Committee (LPCC) celebrated World Ozone Day, 2026 at Government Middle School, Gompa, Leh, with the objective of spreading awareness among students about the importance of protecting the ozone layer and promoting environmental conservation. The programme was organized by the officers and staff of LPCC in coordination with the school authorities, in line with this year’s theme, “Global Action for a Cooler Planet.”
As a part of the awareness programme, a quiz competition and a speech competition were conducted for the students, providing them an opportunity to learn about the significance of the ozone layer, the importance of environmental protection and the role of collective action towards a sustainable and cooler planet. The students actively participated in the activities, making the programme an engaging platform for environmental awareness and education. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the quiz and speech competition in recognition of their performance and participation.
