| AANITS Executive Committee formally welcomes Director NIT Srinagar, Prof Anurag Misra | | Srinagar, September 05 (Scoop News)-A delegation of the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association of NIT Srinagar (AANITS) on Saturday met the Director, NIT Srinagar, Prof. Anurag Misra and formally welcomed him on behalf of the Institute’s alumni fraternity.
The delegation conveyed its best wishes to the Director and held a fruitful interaction on strengthening the relationship between the Institute and its alumni network, besides exploring avenues for greater alumni participation in the academic, professional and developmental initiatives of NIT Srinagar.
The meeting was attended by Dean, Alumni & International Affairs, Prof. M. A. Shah; Associate Dean, Alumni & International Affairs, Dr. H. S. Pali; and faculty members Dr. Dinesh and Dr. Vijay, who participated in the deliberations and shared their perspectives on strengthening alumni–institute engagement.
The delegation also discussed the forthcoming SANGAM 4 — NIT Srinagar Global Alumni Meet, proposed to be held from 29–31 May 2027. Initial ideas regarding the event, greater alumni participation and further strengthening the global alumni network were discussed with the Director.
The AANITS delegation comprised President Er Malay Chatterjee, who participated online; Vice President Er Parvaiz Qalander; General Secretary Er Irfan Ashai; Secretary Er Fayaz Sofi; Additional Secretaries Er Farhan Manzoor Shah and Er Irfan Shafi Parray; and Joint Secretary Dr Sajad Hussain Din.
The AANITS Executive Committee expressed its commitment to working closely with the Institute administration and the Office of Alumni & International Affairs to further strengthen the bond between NIT Srinagar and its alumni across the globe.
The interaction concluded on a positive and cordial note, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to a stronger, more meaningful and mutually beneficial Institute–Alumni partnership. ... |
