| Vikram Randhawa holds public grievances camp at BJP headquarters | |
Jammu, September 02 (Scoop News)-J&K BJP senior leader and MLA Bahu Ch. Vikram Randhawa held a public grievances camp at BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, providing a platform to individuals and deputations to directly raise issues concerning civic amenities, infrastructure and other personal grievances.
J&K BJP Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Co-convenor Er. T.K. Sharma accompanied the MLA and assisted in the smooth coordination of the proceedings.
District President Naresh Singh Jasrotia and Er. SK Zalpuri were also present on the occasion.
A large deputation led by Vivek Patyal of the Bawe Wali Mata Shopkeeper Association sought construction of a Sarai at or near the temple premises for the convenience of pilgrims and visitors. Deputations from Sanjay Naga, Trikuta Nagar, Nanak Nagar Sector-3 and Sector-2 Gangyal demanded construction and improvement of lanes and drains in their respective areas.
Residents from Last Morh Gandhi Nagar, Sector-3 Nanak Nagar, Marble Market and Extension Trikuta Nagar apprised Randhawa of erratic drinking water supply. Other grievances included difficulties in cancellation of bank lien in revenue records despite full repayment of loans, reissue of PAN cards, realignment of PHE pipes near a petrol pump following Smart City excavation works, and repair or replacement of defunct streetlights near Satyam Resorts, Marble Market.
Ch. Vikram Randhawa, while addressing on the occasion, said that public service is the foremost responsibility of an elected representative and every genuine grievance brought before him will receive due attention. He said that the BJP remains committed to ensuring development at the grassroots level and resolving issues affecting the daily lives of citizens.
Randhawa directed the concerned officials and agencies to examine the issues raised during the camp and take necessary action within the prescribed framework. He stressed that basic civic facilities such as roads, drainage, drinking water, street lighting and public infrastructure must receive priority, as these directly impact the quality of life of the people. He further said that such grievance camps provide an effective mechanism for maintaining direct communication with the public and ensuring that local issues are identified and pursued at the appropriate level.
Er. T.K. Sharma said that BJP's public outreach reflects its commitment to responsive and accountable public service. He said that every grievance received at the camp is properly coordinated so that genuine issues could be taken up with the concerned departments for timely resolution.
