| J&K Police conducts PCPG meetings across Handwara | |
Srinagar, August 25 (Scoop News)- In view of the forthcoming Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, J&K Police in Handwara conducted Police Community Partnership Group meetings across various Police Stations and Police Posts of the Police district under the supervision of senior officers.
The meetings were attended by representatives, Lumberdars, members of Auqaf Committees, traders and other prominent members of the local community. During these meetings, detailed discussions were held regarding the peaceful and smooth conduct of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ celebrations, maintenance of law and order, traffic management, security arrangements and other issues of public concern.
The participants were requested to extend their wholehearted cooperation to the Police Department and ensure that all religious gatherings, processions and programmes are conducted peacefully and strictly in accordance with the prescribed rules and directions. Representatives of Auqaf Committees were advised to maintain close coordination with the Police regarding programmes at mosques and other religious places and to ensure proper crowd management. The Lumberdars were directed to remain vigilant in their respective areas and immediately inform the Police about any suspicious activity, movement of unknown persons or any situation having the potential to disturb peace and public order. The participants assured the Police Department of their full cooperation in maintaining peace, communal harmony and public order. Various local issues and suggestions raised during the meetings were also heard, and appropriate directions were issued for their resolution.
The meetings concluded with an appeal to all concerned to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ peacefully and respectfully and to uphold the spirit of brotherhood, harmony and tranquillity throughout the Police district.
