| BJP General Secretary (Org.) J&K Ashok Koul Hoists National Flag | | at BJP Headquarters in Srinagar | 
Srinagar, August 15 (Scoop News)- On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, Shri Ashok Koul, BJP General Secretary (Org.) Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, today hoisted the National Flag at the BJP J&K UT headquarters at Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.
The flag-hoisting ceremony was held with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. Vice President Dr Shehnaz Ganie, Mohammad Anwar Khan, J&K UT General Secretary, along with senior party leaders, State office-bearers and functionaries, were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Ashok Koul paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters and martyrs who made supreme sacrifices for the independence, unity and sovereignty of the nation. He emphasised the importance of preserving the unity, integrity and democratic values of the country and called upon BJP workers to contribute towards the development and progress of Jammu & Kashmir.
The programme concluded with patriotic sentiments and a renewed commitment by the BJP leadership and workers to serve the nation and the people of Jammu & Kashmir with dedication and sincerity.
Similar flag-hoisting ceremonies were also held across various districts of the Kashmir Valley, where District Presidents hoisted the National Flag at their respective district party offices.
