Jammu, August 03 (Scoop News)-Panun Kashmir expresses anguish over latest targeted killings in Kashmir and condolences to families. Such killings should not be seen as isolated incidents but as part of an ideological and historical continuum. While security operations, investigations, enhanced deployment and compensation are necessary, they alone are not a lasting solution, said Tito Ganju, Chairman. India's response has become ritualistic - focused on consequences rather than ideological origins. He said cosmetic responses "do not dismantle the architecture of hatred" and "inadvertently contribute to the consolidation of genocide." He described genocide as a historical process involving intimidation, selective assassinations, forced displacement, destruction of cultural symbols, demographic engineering, denial of justice and normalization of exclusion. He referenced the concept of Jatividhvans as a framework for understanding identity-directed violence.
Dr. Agnishekhar, Convenor: Said contemporary targeted killings cannot be understood in isolation from the genocide and exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in 1989-90. He said the ideological foundations that legitimized the expulsion have not been confronted.
Kuldeep Raina, General Secretary while commenting Said counter-terrorism must be accompanied by dismantling the ecosystem that legitimizes violence. He warned against normalisation of such killings.
We call upon policymakers, constitutional institutions, academia and civil society to recognise the ideological dimensions and ensure victims are not forgotten.
Meanwhile a Workers' Meet was held on Sunday, August 2, 2026 in Jammu to prepare for upcoming organisational programs. A one-day Hunger Strike on September 5, 2026, Kashmiri Pandit Balidan Diwas on September 14, 2026. The meet was hosted by B.L. Kaul, Organising Secretary, and attended by district functionaries and activists. Speakers included Bittuji Bhat, Bhushal Lal Bhat, Pyare Lal Kaul Badgami, Sanjay Raina, Pyare Lal Pandita, Tito Ganju and Dr. Agnishekhar. The resolution was to intensify outreach across Jammu district for maximum participation. Dr. Agnishekhar, Convenor, Panun Kashmir, described the forthcoming September programmes as decisive moments in the movement's contemporary history. He said the struggle of the displaced Kashmiri Hindus could neither be reduced to symbolic remembrance nor be allowed to fade into political convenience. "Balidan Diwas is not merely a commemoration of the past; it is a national reminder that justice delayed cannot become justice denied," he said. Calling upon workers to combine ideological conviction with organisational excellence, Dr. Agnishekhar urged every activist to emerge as an organiser, communicator and custodian of the movement's national mission, asserting that Panun Kashmir would continue its struggle with renewed determination until justice is secured and the objective of a separate Homeland is realised.
The meeting concluded with workers unanimously resolving to intensify organisational outreach across Jammu district and ensure maximum public participation in both the September programmes. The gathering reaffirmed Panun Kashmir's commitment to strengthening its grassroots network and carrying forward its movement with renewed unity, discipline and resolve.
