| DIET Leh and GoldenMile Learning Conclude Successful Second Edition o | | of Leadership Communication Program Part II |
Leh, August 01 (Scoop News)-The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, in collaboration with its knowledge partner GoldenMile Learning, successfully concluded Part II of the 3-Day Leadership Communication Program Part II (31st July 26, 1st August & 3rd August 2026). The course, designed for the Heads of Institutions, was held at the DIET Training Hall.
The program targeted key education leaders, including Principals, Zonal Education Officers, and Headmasters, to enhance their decision-making capabilities for the holistic development of the Union Territory of Ladakh. The initiative also fostered a collaborative learning environment by including teachers from several private schools in addition to the 35+ participants.
Program Design and Delivery
The curriculum has been developed and conducted by Dr. Neepa Oza, Program Director at GoldenMile Education, alongside her team. Leveraging extensive professional expertise in development, the training comprised three modules:
1. Clarity in Leadership Community.
2. Effective Negotiation in School Leadership.
3. Conducting Meetings that Lead to Change.
Inaugural Session
The program was inaugurated by Sh. S. D. Namgyal, Principal of DIET Leh, in the presence of the HoDs and programme coordinators. In his address, he encouraged participants to fully utilize the opportunity and emphasized the necessity for leaders to evolve continuously. He stressed that superior communication and leadership skills are essential for Heads of Institutions to ensure the well-being of both students and teachers and to justify their professional responsibilities.
Cooperatives Department, UT Ladakh, in Coordination with All Changthang Pashmina Growers Cooperative Society Organizes Interaction with CII Members and Industrial Representatives in Jammu
Jammu, August 01 (Scoop News)-The Cooperatives Department, Union Territory of Ladakh, in coordination with the All Changthang Pashmina Growers Cooperative Society Ltd., organized a one-day interaction-cum-seminar with members of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), industrial representatives, textile entrepreneurs, traders, and buyers at Jammu today. The programme aimed to establish direct market linkages for Ladakh Pashmina and secure better returns for Changpa pastoralists.
The seminar witnessed active participation from members of the textile and handicrafts industry, who interacted with representatives of the Cooperative Society to explore opportunities for direct procurement of authentic GI-tagged Ladakh Pashmina. Discussions centred on quality assurance, branding, value addition, market expansion, and long-term business partnerships.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner, Changthang, Shri Nitish Rajora , IAS , highlighted the significance of the Pashmina sector as the economic backbone of the Changthang region. He emphasized that direct engagement with industry would empower Changpa herders by ensuring transparent procurement, fair pricing, and sustainable livelihoods. He called upon industrial stakeholders to build long-term partnerships with the Cooperative Society and support the promotion of authentic Ladakh Pashmina in national and international markets.
Representatives of the All Changthang Pashmina Growers Cooperative Society briefed the participants about the Society's initiatives to strengthen procurement systems, improve quality standards, and enhance the income of Pashmina-producing families across Changthang. Members of CII and participating industrial representatives appreciated the quality of Ladakh Pashmina and expressed keen interest in developing direct sourcing arrangements and collaborative business models.
The interactive session concluded with an engaging discussion between buyers and producers, enabling both sides to exchange views on market expectations, product quality, and future cooperation.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Deputy Registrar, Cooperatives, Ladakh, expressed gratitude to the members of CII, industrial representatives, buyers, and all participating stakeholders for their enthusiastic participation. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Cooperatives Department, UT Ladakh, to strengthening market linkages for Ladakh Pashmina and ensuring that the benefits of value addition and market access reach the Changpa herders, who are the custodians of this unique natural fibre.
