| DC Nubra Reviews Solid Waste Management Compliance | | Directs Strengthened Monitoring and Awareness |
Nubra, July 29 (Scoop News)- Deputy Commissioner, Nubra, Shri Mukul Beniwal, IAS, today convened a review meeting to assess compliance with Solid Waste Management measures in Nubra District .
The meeting reviewed key aspects of SWM implementation, including compliance activities, awareness initiatives, waste collection and disposal, dumping sites, identification and management of Bulk Waste Generators and the functioning of waste collection mechanisms.The meeting also discussed strengthening waste collection infrastructure. Directions were issued for installation of dustbins at identified hotspots and ensuring proper safety gear for sanitation workers.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for coordinated and sustained efforts by all concerned departments to ensure effective implementation of SWM measures and directed all officers to ensure timely compliance with the decisions taken during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by SDM Nubra, Sh Tashi Jorgais, BDOs of Nubra District, Panchayat Inspectors,Panchayat Secretaries Turtuk and JE LREDA.
