| DC Nubra Reviews Status of Developmental Works at Sand Dunes Hunder in Nubra District | |
Nubra, July 27 (Scoop News)-Deputy Commissioner, Nubra, Shri Mukul Beniwal, IAS, reviewed the status and implementation of various developmental works at Sand Dunes, Hunder.
The DC reviewed the physical and financial status of ongoing works, including roads, bridges and public convenience facilities. He highlighted the need to provide benches and suitable sitting areas near the stream for the convenience of visitors.
The DC also directed concerned departments to improve road shoulders in Hunder and undertake necessary improvements to dilapidated structures at Sand Dunes, while maintaining the aesthetic character of the area. The status of operations and maintenance of Panamik Hot Spring was also reviewed.
He further directed strict action against illegal dumping of waste at Sand Dunes and surrounding areas.
The review meeting was attended by the SDM Nubra, Sh. Tashi Jorgais ,Executive Engineers of PWD and LDA, and the Director, Tourism Department.
