| Delegation from Chortanchan–Hagnis Calls on CEC | | Developmental Issues Discussed |
Kargil, July 18 (Scoop News)- A delegation from Chortanchan–Hagnis today called on the Hon'ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, to discuss various developmental issues concerning the area.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted several important demands, including the widening of the Main Khangral–Sanjak Road under the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), compensation for landowners affected by the road project, construction of a Community Hall, posting of a doctor at CHC Hagnis, construction of a protection bund for the Chortanchan canal, and other local developmental issues.
Responding to the demands, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon informed the delegation that the widening of the Main Khangral–Sanjak Road has already been sanctioned and is currently in the tendering process. He assured them that the work is expected to commence within the next few months.
Regarding the demand for the posting of remaning required doctor at CHC Hagnis, the CEC stated that the matter has already been taken up with the concerned authorities and assured the delegation that a required remaining doctor will be posted soon.
On the construction of the Community Hall, Dr. Akhoon informed the delegation that the project has already been sanctioned and work will begin shortly.
The CEC further assured the delegation that LAHDC Kargil remains fully committed to the overall development and welfare of the people and that all genuine public concerns will continue to receive priority.
