| Director Social Welfare reviews progress of welfare schemes | | Jammu, July 13 (Scoop News)-Director Social Welfare, Jammu, Ranjeet Singh today chaired a review meeting with all District Social Welfare Officers (DSWOs) of Jammu Division to assess implementation and progress of welfare schemes being implemented by the Social Welfare Department.
The meeting focussed on a scheme-wise review of physical and financial progress, district-wise achievements, pendency of cases, implementation challenges and corrective measures required for effective and timely delivery of welfare benefits to eligible beneficiaries.
The Social Welfare Department is committed to ensuring every eligible beneficiary receives benefits in a transparent, efficient and time-bound manner, the Director said. He directed all DSWOs to strengthen monitoring mechanisms, maintain updated records, expedite disposal of pending cases, ensure prompt submission of reports sought by the Directorate, resolve bottlenecks through better coordination with line departments, conduct regular field inspections, strengthen beneficiary outreach, ensure strict adherence to government guidelines and regularly update progress on online portals so that no eligible beneficiary is deprived of benefits due to procedural delays or incomplete documentation.
District-wise performance was reviewed and officers were encouraged to share best practices and challenges faced in implementing the schemes.
The meeting concluded with a review of district-wise action points and timelines for improving implementation, reducing pendency and enhancing monitoring under welfare programmes of the Social Welfare Department.
