Participants of Viksit Vibrant Village Programme Phase-II Flagged Off for Village Immersion in Leh


Leh, Ladakh, June 24 (Scoop News)- After completing six days of acclimatization and orientation, the participants of the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme (VVVP) Phase-II interacted with the Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), at the ITBP Base Camp, Choglamsar.


During the interaction, the DIG ITBP encouraged the participants and highlighted the importance of understanding the socio-economic conditions of border villages and contributing towards the vision of a developed and vibrant India. Following the session, the participants were formally flagged off by the DIG ITBP for their village immersion programme.


The participants have been deployed to five border villages of Leh district—Merak, Lukung, Man, Chushul, and Phobrang—where they will stay for seven days. During their stay, they will engage with local residents to gain firsthand knowledge of their livelihoods, understand local challenges, and identify opportunities for community development.


Ms. Tajamul Ara, State Director, My Bharat Leh, accompanied the participants during the flag-off programme. She expressed gratitude to the ITBP for their valuable support and cooperation in facilitating logistics and arrangements for the participants throughout the programme.


The Viksit Vibrant Village Programme aims to strengthen the connection between youth and border communities while promoting inclusive development, cultural understanding, and grassroots participation in nation-building.
