PSA Patron Dr. G.N Var Elected As NISA Joint Secretary, Honouring His Lifelong Contribution To Schools And Student Welfare
Himachal Pradesh,May 18 (Scoop News)-The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA), a premier national platform representing lakhs of private schools across India, was held successfully at Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh with enthusiastic participation from delegates representing various states from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
The AGM witnessed extensive deliberations on important issues concerning the private education sector, institutional coordination, policy matters, strengthening organisational structure and future initiatives aimed at safeguarding and promoting quality education across the country. The central agenda of the meeting revolved around the conduct of elections for national-level office bearers of NISA.
During the election process, prominent educationist Dr. Kulbhushan Sharma was re-elected as the National President of NISA for another three-year term. Dr. Paranjyothi, Dr. Tulasi Prasad, Dr. Sushil Gupta, Dr. Anirudh Gupta and Dr. Rajendra Singh were elected as Vice Presidents, while veteran educationist and founding President & Chief Patron of the Private Schools Association (PSA), Dr. G.N. Var, was elected as Joint Secretary for Organizational Development & Partnerships of NISA at the national level. Several other office bearers were also elected during the democratic process conducted in the presence of delegates from across India.
Immediately after the completion of the election process, the newly elected office bearers took an oath of office and commitment towards strengthening the organisation and addressing the concerns of private educational institutions across the nation. A separate meeting of the newly elected leadership was also convened during which several important organisational decisions were taken for the future functioning and expansion of NISA activities.
Members participating in the AGM unanimously stressed that only authentic and recognised representatives would be entertained by the organisation in future matters pertaining to representation and coordination. It was also announced during the deliberations that a special conference of NISA would soon be organised in Kashmir Valley to discuss region-specific educational concerns and strengthen coordination with member institutions.
For the first time, Jammu and Kashmir earned representation in the Executive Body of the Alliance at the prestigious national-level AGM. The Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir was represented by its PSA Chief Patron Dr.G.N. Var, President Bilal Ahmad Bhat and General Secretary M. Syed Wani, who participated in various deliberations and discussions concerning educational reforms, institutional challenges and the role of private schools in nation-building.
Addressing the gathering after his re-election, NISA President Dr. Kulbhushan Sharma expressed gratitude to the delegates from across India for reposing faith in his leadership once again.
Dr. Sharma said “Today is a very important day for NISA as we successfully conducted the national elections with active participation from delegates representing every corner of the country, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. I am deeply thankful to all members for once again electing me as President of NISA. Every state and every member has an important role in strengthening this organisation irrespective of region and together we must work collectively for the betterment of private education in India”.
Meanwhile, the Private Schools Association extended heartfelt congratulations to its Founding President and Chief Patron Dr. G.N Var on his historic induction as Joint Secretary of NISA at the national level.
In a congratulatory message, Private Schools Association (PSA) described the achievement as a landmark moment for the private education sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
PSA President Bilal Ahmad Bhat, who attended the AGM of NISA, termed the meeting highly significant for the future of private educational institutions across India.
Bhat said “The AGM of NISA served as a highly productive and visionary platform where representatives from all states came together to discuss pressing educational issues and organisational strengthening. The re-election of Dr. Kulbhushan Sharma and the induction of PSA Founding President & Chief Patron Dr. G.N Var Sahib at the national level are historic developments which will further empower the voice of private schools, particularly from Jammu and Kashmir,”.
PSA Vice President Ghulam Hassan Rather said “It gives us immense pleasure to extend our heartfelt congratulations to our respected founding president & Chief Patron Dr. G.N Var Sahib on his induction at the national level as Joint Secretary of NISA. It is indeed a matter of pride that no one in the history of Jammu and Kashmir has achieved such a prestigious position within the national private education sector. This remarkable accomplishment will significantly boost the morale of all members and inspire us to take PSA to even greater heights,”.
General Secretary of PSA, M.Syed Wani, also highlighted the importance of active participation and national-level coordination among private educational institutions.
Wani said “The participation of delegates from across India reflected the unity, commitment and collective resolve of the private education sector. The discussions held during the AGM were constructive and focused on strengthening educational standards, institutional representation and collaborative progress. We are proud that PSA continues to play an active role at the national platform through NISA,”.
Director Media & Communications, Dr. Owais Mattoo, while congratulating the newly elected leadership and especially Dr. G.N Var, described the development as a proud and inspiring moment for the educational fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Mattoo said “Let us all celebrate this glorious moment with pride and renewed determination. The induction of Dr. G.N Var Sahib at the national level is not only an honour for PSA but also a recognition of the contribution of the private education sector of Jammu and Kashmir. We must work together with renewed energy, commitment and unity to further strengthen our institutions and educational mission,”.
The AGM concluded with a collective resolve by delegates and office bearers to continue working for the welfare of students, educational institutions and the broader cause of quality education across India.
