| Er. Punchok Tashi Facilitates Newly Appointed DC & SP of Zanskar District | |
Zanskar, May 10(Scoop News)-In a significant step towards strengthening governance in the newly created Zanskar District, Executive Councilor (EC) for Zanskar Development Authority, Er. Punchok Tashi, formally welcomed and facilitated the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Superintendent of Police (SP) at Tourist Bangkow Padum.
During the occasion, EC Tashi urged all Heads of Departments (HODs) to extend their full cooperation and support in accelerating the development process of the district. He emphasized that the creation of Zanskar District marks a historic milestone, bringing administration closer to the people and ensuring inclusive growth for the region.
EC Tashi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Government of India (GOI) and the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of UT Ladakh for their visionary decision to establish Zanskar as a separate district. He also conveyed appreciation to the Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of LAHDC Kargil for their continued support and contributions towards the development of Zanskar over the years.
“This new administrative setup is a collective achievement. With the cooperation of all stakeholders, we can ensure that Zanskar progresses rapidly while preserving its unique cultural and environmental heritage,” EC Tashi stated.
The facilitation ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter for Zanskar, with renewed commitment from leadership and administration to work hand-in-hand for the welfare of the people.
