Joint Secretary JIC Rigzin Spalgon briefs media on progress of Judicial Inquiry


Leh, May 08(Scoop News)- A press briefing was held today by Joint Secretary, Judicial Inquiry Commision, Rigzin Spalgon regarding the progress of the ongoing judicial inquiry into the incident that occurred on September 24, 2025, conducted under the Justice (Retd.) B.S. Chauhan, Chairman of the Inquiry Commission; Retired District & Sessions Judge, Sh. Mohan Singh Parihar, Judicial Secretary; and Counsel to the Commission, Adv. Himanshu Sharma.

The briefing focused on the follow-up actions and proceedings undertaken by the Inquiry Commission so far. Addressing the media, Joint Secretary Rigzin Spalgon informed that a total of 93 witnesses have been examined up to the third session of the inquiry. He further stated that an additional 13 witnesses are yet to be examined during the ongoing fourth session.

He expressed hope that the current session would likely be the final phase of the inquiry process. The Commission, he said, has been carrying out the proceedings in a transparent and systematic manner to ensure a fair and comprehensive investigation into the matter.
