Mukul Beniwal, IAS Assumes Charge as Deputy Commissioner, Nubra
Stanzin Losal, JKPS joins as Superintendent of Police, Nubra
Nubra, April 29 (Scoop News)-Mukul Beniwal, IAS, today assumed charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Nubra, while Stanzin Losal, JKPS, joined as the Superintendent of Police, Nubra.

On their arrival, both officers were accorded a warm reception by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Nubra, Jigmet Raftan, along with Tehsildar Sumoor, Tashi Jorgais, heads of various departments and local representatives. The officers were received at Khardong village, followed by Khaltsar and T-Morh, where LBA, Nubra president, Nambardars, presidents of various associations and residents of Nubra extended a cordial welcome.

A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented by the Ladakh Police. This was followed by a programme at Deputy Commissioner Office Complex, Diskit, featuring cultural performances by students of Government Higher Secondary School, Diskit, as well as local artists from Diskit and Hunder.

These appointments come in the wake of the recent notification declaring Nubra as a separate district, among the five newly created districts by the Administration. The creation of these districts aims to enhance administrative efficiency and ensure improved delivery of public services at the grassroots level.

Upon assuming charge, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated the residents of Nubra on the attainment of district status and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening governance, ensuring effective implementation of government programmes and schemes and improving public service delivery. He emphasized the importance of working diligently towards developing Nubra into a fully functional district while addressing the aspirations of its people.

The Superintendent of Police, on the occasion, emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order, enhancing public safety, and promoting a people friendly policing system in the district. He also highlighted the need to create opportunities for youth and assured his commitment to making the district exemplary in policing and public service.

Both officers expressed their resolve to work in close coordination to ensure a responsive, transparent and accountable administration for the overall development and welfare of the region.
