Police organize patriotic band show, Special Exhibitions to Commemorate 150 Years of “Vande Mataram”
in Pulwama, Awantipora

Srinagar, January 20 (Scoop News)- J&K Police commemorated the 150th anniversary of India’s National Song, “Vande Mataram,” (Phase-II) by organising special exhibitions, patriotic performances and patriotic band show at various public places in Pulwama and Awantipora.

In Pulwama, the Police Band Show (Patriotic Songs) was organised at the New Bus Stand, Pulwama. The programme was organised by Pulwama Police to pay tribute to the historic significance of “Vande Mataram” and to promote the spirit of nationalism and unity among the public. The Police Band presented patriotic melodies which created an atmosphere of pride and respect for the nation. The event was conducted peacefully under proper security arrangements. Officers of Pulwama Police were present on the occasion to ensure smooth conduct of the programme. A large number of people witnessed the event and appreciated the initiative taken by J&K Police in organising a meaningful patriotic programme.

Similarly, in Awantipora, Police organised special exhibitions and patriotic performances at Awantipora, Pampore, Tral, and Khrew with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The special programmes featured patriotic songs and exhibitions aimed at highlighting the historical and cultural significance of Vande Mataram a song that inspired generations during India’s freedom struggle and continues to symbolise national pride, unity, and sacrifice. Senior officers of Police District Awantipora, along with officers and personnel from different police stations and representatives from the Civil Administration, participated in the events. Officers urged citizens to uphold the spirit of patriotism, unity, and brotherhood as embodied in the National Song.

The programme concluded with a collective pledge to preserve and promote the ideals of patriotism, national pride, and unity represented by Vande Mataram.
