| Orientation Training on Newly Developed Bhoti Textbooks Concludes at DIET, Leh | |
Leh, January 07 (Scoop News)- The newly developed Bhoti textbooks for Balvatika I, II, and III, and Classes I and II were formally launched by the Secretary, School Education Department, UT of Ladakh, Ms. Bhanu Prabha (IAS), along with the Director, School Education, UT of Ladakh.
Following the launch, orientation training programmes on the newly developed Bhoti textbooks were conducted at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh. The concluding five-day second batch of the training programme, ended by 102 teachers from Kharu Zone, Leh Zone, and Khaltsi Zone, successfully concluded on 6 January 2026 at DIET, Leh.
While addressing the participants, the Head of the Institute, DIET Leh, Ms. Sonam Lhamo, highlighted the importance of the regional language Bhoti, especially in view of its recognition as an official language of the Union Territory of Ladakh. She also briefed the participants on the ongoing developmental work at DIET Leh related to textbook development and preparation of teaching-learning materials.
Ms. Sonam Lamo expressed her sincere gratitude to the resource persons Venerable Stanzin Norbu, Dr. Lotos Rabgais, and Mr. Tundup Namgail for their dedicated efforts, effective orientations, and lucid explanations of the newly developed Bhoti textbooks forthe foundational and primary stages.
As a token of appreciation, the resource persons were felicitated with traditional white khataks in recognition of their valuable and resourceful contributions to the training programme.
