| BJP committed to Border belt development, and people welfare: Sat Sharma | | BJP holds Poonch district meet at Jammu |
Jammu, January 06 (Scoop News)-Sat Sharma CA, President, J&K BJP and MP (Rajya Sabha), along with BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, presided over an organizational meeting of Poonch district at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The meeting was attended by J&K BJP Vice-President Dr. Shehnaz Ganai, BJP General Secretary Gopal Mahajan, District President Poonch Gurdeep Singh Khalsa, former MLC Pardeep Sharma, senior leaders Sunil Gupta and Mohd. Rafiq Chishti, besides others.
Addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma said that Poonch holds immense strategic and geo-political importance and the BJP is fully conscious of the aspirations, challenges, and sensitivities of the people living in this border belt. He said that unlike previous regimes, which treated border districts merely as vote banks to gain power and further their own political agendas, the BJP has worked with sincerity to ensure inclusive development and security-driven welfare for the people.
Sat Sharma said, “The BJP stands for genuine empowerment. Our ideology of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas is not a slogan but a commitment.”
Sat Sharma urged the Poonch district leadership to take a proactive lead in expanding the party’s base by intensifying contact with the masses at the grassroots level. He emphasized that party leaders and workers must act as a strong bridge between the people and the party, ensuring that public grievances are addressed and benefits of Central government schemes reach every deserving family.
Ashok Koul, in his address, focused on strengthening the organizational structure at the ground level. He stressed the need for disciplined cadre-building, regular meetings at booth and mandal levels, and sustained outreach programmes. He reviewed the organizational work carried out in recent months and held detailed discussions on upcoming party programmes in Poonch district, calling upon leaders to work with dedication, coordination, and a clear focus on public service.
Dr. Shehnaz Ganai acknowledged that the BJP’s dedication is reflected in development projects, welfare schemes, improved connectivity, and a strong focus on border area development.
Gopal Mahajan advised the Poonch leaders to involve prominent local personalities, social workers, and opinion makers in party programmes to deepen public engagement with the BJP’s welfare-oriented policies.
