| J&K Police organises Half Marathon Run in Budgam | |
Srinagar, December 28 (Scoop News)- J&K Police in collaboration with Fitness Sports Club Budgam, organised a Half Marathon Run under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025–26 in Budgam. The marathon commenced from the Sports Stadium Budgam, proceeded up to Sheikhpura Petrol Pump, and culminated back at the Sports Stadium Budgam, covering a distance of approximately 13 kilometres.
More than 80 local athletes from various parts of the Valley participated in the event with great enthusiasm and zeal. The event was flagged off by DySP Hqrs Budgam Shri Sajad Ahmad-JKPS, along with the SHO PS Budgam, in the presence of other senior police officials. During the pre-flag-off ceremony held at the Sports Stadium Budgam, the DySP Headquarters interacted with the participants and highlighted the importance of nurturing sportsmanship and a healthy lifestyle among the youth.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, during which medals, mementos, and certificates were distributed among the winners and participants. Refreshments were also provided to all participants.
