Mimang Si Jabstok held at Skalzangling on 12 December 2025
Leh, December 12 (Scoop News)- The outreach programme “Mimang Si Jabstok” was conducted today, 12 December 2025, at Skalzangling, where representatives from various departments and agencies briefed the public about ongoing schemes, services, and initiatives. The Nodal Officer, Tehsildar Leh Dorjay Gyalson (JKAS), introduced the objectives of the campaign and highlighted its importance in ensuring transparency and citizen awareness. The Education Department shared updates on women’s self-defence training being conducted across central schools with financial support, along with information on the Ladakh Model School Initiative. The Horticulture Department informed the public about various schemes and subsidies available to farmers, while the Power Development Department (PDD) highlighted the 65% subsidy offered on rooftop solar panels.

The Agriculture Department briefed residents about the polycarbonate greenhouse scheme, available in two sizes with a 75% subsidy, and updated them on the PM Kisan programme. The ICDS Department explained the benefits of the PMMVY scheme for women.

During the programme, Mr. Subin, LDO RBI, briefed participants on the settlement of unclaimed deposits under the “Your Money, Your Right” campaign of the DEA Fund, RBI. He delivered a detailed presentation on the UDGAM portal for efficient tracking and settlement of unclaimed deposits and also spoke on the role of banking ombudsmen and cyber fraud prevention. Stanzin Dolkar, LDM Leh, presented the status of DEAF accounts in Leh and encouraged community members to visit their respective bank branches to reclaim their rightful money. Furthermore, Kifayat Hussain, Manager CFL Project, explained in detail the various social security schemes including PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY, as well as PMEGP and essential KYC documentation requirements. Representatives from major financial institutions including SBI, JK Bank, JKSCB, PNB, and an LIC Executive were also present during the event.

The PWD (Construction and R&B Divisions) shared details about road construction works and the ongoing construction of the Crematorium Centre at Dambuchan. The JK Bank representatives informed the public about student scholarship schemes and procedures related to unclaimed deposits. The Fisheries Department discussed the PMMSY scheme, clarifying the 60% central share and 40% beneficiary contribution, and emphasised the importance of tsetar (fish rearing). The PHE Department addressed concerns about high project costs in Ladakh due to altitude and terrain challenges. The local Goba raised community grievances related to land issues, drinking water shortage, challenges faced by persons with disabilities, and the need for improved street lighting.

Concluding the session, the Nodal Officer clarified the process for land allotment and revenue record registration. In addition, services were provided on-site, including 5 ration card additions, eKYC updates, and the Aadhaar team facilitated the updating of 12 Aadhaar cards.
