Block Level Sports Meet Held at SAS&T Kargil Campus


Kargil, December 12 (Scoop News)- The Block Level Sports event organized by Mera Yuva Bharat (MYBK) Kargil, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, in collaboration with the School of Agriculture Science and Technology (SAS&T), Kargil Campus, successfully concluded a spirited two-day inter-student sports fest held on December 11–12, 2025. The event brought together 50–60 enthusiastic students, along with faculty members, who participated with great energy and sportsmanship.

The meet began with an inaugural ceremony led by Chief Guest Dr. Mutup, Director college development council, University of Ladakh,who formally opened the event. The sports competitions aimed to promote fitness, teamwork, and student engagement within the campus.

The event included a Volleyball (Boys) match where teams competed with enthusiasm, demonstrating coordination and strategy.

Among Individual events were Badminton (Boys & Girls), 200m Race (Boys & Girls), and Skipping (Girls).

All events witnessed impressive performances, with students showcasing agility, endurance, and determination. Faculty involvement added motivation and strengthened the bond between teachers and students. Winners were awarded medals and certificates, while all participants were appreciated for their active involvement.

Results Highlights

Volleyball (Boys):

1st – Team B (led by Muzammil); Runner-up – Team C (led by Parvez)

Badminton (Girls):

1st – Latifa; Runner-up – Tsering Ladol; 2nd Runner-up – Anjum Fatima

Badminton (Boys):

1st – Muzammil; Runner-up – Parvez; 2nd Runner-up – Sarwar Ali

Skipping (Girls):

1st – Mubarika; Runner-up – Tsering Ladol; 2nd Runner-up – Nusrat

200m Race (Boys):

1st – Sarwar; Runner-up – Muzammil; 2nd Runner-up – Illahi

200m Race (Girls):

1st – Khatija; Runner-up – Tsering Ladol; 2nd Runner-up – Anjum

Prof. Faizan Ahmad, Dean, SAS&T Kargil Campus, thanked Mrs. Jigmet Spaldon, Coordinator (MYBK), for her support in organizing the event. He highlighted that the sports meet helped promote physical fitness and strengthened student–faculty engagement.

The meet concluded with a cheerful prize distribution ceremony. SAS&T Kargil Campus remains committed to encouraging holistic development and empowering youth for sustainable rural progress.
