| Encroachment Removal Drive Conducted from BSNL Office to Goma Kargil | |
Kargil, December 11 (Scoop News)- Under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner Kargil, an encroachment removal drive was carried out today along the stretch from the BSNL Office Kargil to Goma Kargil. The drive was aimed at clearing road obstructions to ensure smooth traffic movement and public convenience.
The operation was jointly led by the Tehsildar Kargil, SHO Kargil, AEE R&B, Naib Tehsildar Kargil, Inspector Traffic, and officials of the Municipal Committee Kargil.
During the drive, various encroachments on the roadside including water tanks, sand heaps, stones, construction materials and other obstructing items were identified and removed on the spot. The team also sensitized shopkeepers, residents, and construction workers about maintaining road discipline and ensuring that public spaces remain obstruction-free.
The Deputy Commissioner Kargil has urged the public to cooperate in keeping the roadways clear for the safety and convenience of all commuters and such drives will continue, and strict action will be taken against repeated violations.
