| CDS Kharu Boosts AWW Skills with 2-Day Training | |
Kharu, December 11 (Scoop News)- A comprehensive two-day training program was successfully conducted at ICDS Project Kharu. The training aimed at strengthening the capacities of all Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) for improved service delivery at the Anganwadi Centre (AWC) level.
The intensive training focused on three key areas critical to the modernization and effectiveness of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme. That included the understanding of ECCE concepts, Enhance Digital Reporting through FRS and build practical skills in low cost TLM preparation.
The training was effective in strengthening the understanding of capacities of all Anganwadi Workers, thereby contributing to better service delivery at AWC level.
The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Leh observed World Human Rights Day at the Old Age Home, Shey under the chairmanship of the Chairman, DLSA Leh. The programme was attended by Advocate Nema Stanzin, Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel, along with the elderly residents, caretakers, staff members, and PLVs.
The event marked a meaningful gathering of individuals dedicated to upholding the fundamental principles of human rights. Deputy Chief LADC, Nema Stanzin, highlighted the essential connection between Human Rights and the Indian Constitution. He emphasised that human rights form the basis of a fair and just society, and that the Constitution stands as a testament to the nation's commitment to safeguarding these rights for all. He also shared valuable insights that initiated discussions on the practical aspects of human rights and their relevance in today's socio-legal landscape.
Awareness programmes at old age homes play a vital role in educating the elderly and their families about their rights and the importance of maintaining health and well-being. Such programs often include discussions on hygiene, sanitation, and the necessity of regular health check-ups. They also aim to foster a sense of community and offer emotional support to senior citizens. In line with this objective, the DLSA in organized a legal awareness session on senior citizens at the Old Age Home, Shey, to educate the elderly about their rights and the legal frameworks that protect them.
The DLSA expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and reaffirmed the commitment of Legal Services Institutions to ensuring inclusivity and equal access to justice. As a gesture of care and support, refreshments were distributed among all participants.
