| Chief Secretary Dr. Pawan Kotwal inspects key development projects in Leh | |  Leh, December 08 (Scoop News)- The Chief Secretary of Ladakh, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, conducted a series of visits to various developmental sites in Leh to review the ongoing progress of major infrastructure works.
The Chief Secretary first visited the newly constructed UT Secretariat Building, Leh, where he assessed the progress of works and directed the executing agency to expedite the remaining tasks while maintaining high quality standards. He further instructed the agency to ensure that the building is fully disabled-friendly, incorporating all necessary accessibility features.
Dr. Kotwal was accompanied by Commissioner Secretary, Finance & Planning Department, Dr. Laltinkhuma Franklin; Secretary, Information Technology, Shashanka Ala; Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Romil Singh Donk; engineers from CPWD; and other concerned officers and officials.
He also inspected the newly constructed Youth Hostel, reviewing the building layout and various rooms. He instructed the Executive Engineer, R&B Leh, to complete the pending works at the earliest.
During this visit, he was accompanied by Secretary, Youth Services & Sports, Moses Kunzang; Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Romil Singh Donk; Chief Engineer, R&B, Abdul Mutalib; Superintending Engineer, Leh; Executive Engineer, R&B Leh, Mohd Ali Khan; District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Leh; and other concerned officials.
Later, the Chief Secretary visited the Ladakh Pollution Control Committee (LPCC) office, where he inspected the laboratory facilities and interacted with officials about the operational procedures. He reviewed the functioning of the Air Quality Index (AQI) monitoring system and instructed officials to install AQI display boards at suitable locations across Leh in consultation with the Deputy Commissioner.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Romil Singh Donk; Chief Engineer, R&B, Abdul Mutalib; Superintending Engineer; Executive Engineer, R&B Leh, Mohd Ali Khan; and other officials during the visit.
