DC reviews progress of financial inclusion & social security schemes, solarization of govt buildings
Udhampur, December 06 (Scoop News)- To review the progress achieved under the financial inclusion and social security schemes, solarization of government buildings, SASCI scheme and the District Capex Budget 2025–26, the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting of officers of line departments in the Conference Hall DC Office.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore; GM DIC Kishore Singh Katoch; Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan; Assistant Commissioner Development Om Parkash; ACP Dr. Ashwani Hansa besides other district officers and bankers.

The DC called for 100% enrollment of eligible individuals under financial inclusion and social security schemes. She stressed on absolute saturation of schemes by strengthening the field mechanism and intensive awareness activities. The DC also appreciated the officers for scaling up progress in recent months.

While reviewing the progress of solarization of government buildings, the DC sought a status report on the same.

The DC also reviewed the physical and financial progress under the District Capex Budget 2025–26 and directed departments to enhance the pace of ongoing works and complete all projects within the stipulated timelines.

An extensive assessment was carried out on sector-wise performance under each component of the District Capex Budget. She took feedback on status of works taken up under DDC, BDC, PRI Grants and Untied Grants, covering PHE, PWD, RDD, Health, Education and Power sectors.

Emphasizing timely execution and judicious utilization of funds, the DC instructed the departments to expedite allotment of works at the earliest and accelerate utilization of released funds. She further directed the concerned officers to prioritize completion of pending projects in mission mode and initiate billing of completed works without delay.

The DC stressed strict adherence to timelines and emphasized conducting regular field inspections to ensure quality, transparency and accountability in all developmental activities across the district.
