| KP Recourse, Restitution, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Bill 2022 to come up in Rajya Sabha:AIKS garners support | | 
New Delhi, December 04 (Scoop News)- The Kashmiri Pandits ( Recourse, Restitution, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Bill 2022 is likely to come up for discussion in Rajya sabha on 5 December tabled by kashmiri origin Member of Parliament Vivek Tankha. The Private Bill was selected through a draw of lots in September earlier but couldn't come up for discussion as not reached. This time the President of India has again given a nod for this private bill that was conveyed by Rajya sabha secretariat on 14 November to Vivek Tankha. This private bill is aimed at Rehabilitation and resettlement of Kashmiri pandits who faced an exodus in 1990 and are living in different parts of the globe.
All India Kashmiri Samaj regd ( AIKS) a nodal organization of kashmiri pandits having affiliates in India and abroad have also garnered support to the bill. In a statement issued by AIKS President Ravinder Pandita has said that We have requested all 4 shankaracharyas also this time to support the bill. AIKS has issued letters and met shankaracharyas and discussed the subject matter in person with them. This Bill should in fact be supported by all political parties hoped Ravinder Pandita, President of AIKS. All eyes are set on this bill to be tabled on 5 December in the upper house.
